We may be in the midst of a seller’s market, but that doesn’t mean you can’t land the home of your dreams.

Is it a good time to buy a home? The short answer is yes, but here are three specific reasons why:

1. Interest rates are at an all-time low. I’ve been in the business for 26 years and have worked with over 3,000 families, and I’ve never seen rates this low. Now is a great time to lock in a low rate and get a ton of long-term savings.

2. The competition for listings is high, but you can win. The No. 1 thing you need to do is get pre-approved so you know exactly what you can afford and sellers know that you can afford it. A pre-approval helps alleviate the biggest fear of any seller: Can you close on the deal? Understand that this is a tight market, so you need to be ready to move when the right home comes on the market. You don’t have time to “wait and see.”

3. Consider new construction. Builder confidence is at an all-time high, and more new homes are being built than there were in 2006. The thought process goes something like this: Wouldn’t you want a new home that already has the features that you’d remodel in it? If you can’t find a resale home that meets your needs, there is likely a new construction home that does.

These are the three reasons why I think this is the absolute best time to sell your home. If you have any questions for me, don’t hesitate to reach out via phone or email. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
